February Recap - InFocus ‘19 | Meh | Botanical Invasion

I’ve been thinking of giving monthly recaps a go for a while now and February seemed like the perfect candidate to start the trial: a bit short but crazy packed. Emotionally, at least.

Chronologically, February 3 marked the beginning of the InFocus Exhibition at The Renaissance Airport Hotel in Edmonton (4236 36 St E) with the opening reception on February 7. [I missed this great event, sadly, because my flight to Edmonton got canceled.]

The theme for this year was Connection and I’m happy to have my Trapped IV (print from 35mm B&W Ilford negative) hanging in such amazing company. The show exhibits photographs that explore how we connect with nature, with each other, with ourselves and is on view until March 30, 2019.

February continued with ”Meh” - the weekly curated photostream on the Film Shooters Collective website. It depicts the mid-winter blues at their finest.

February also marked the beginning of Botanical Invasion - my newest series, featuring all things plants through collage, illustration and just a tiny bit of film photography. It will be up on the website most probably by the end of March.
